We got a really old 1950's kitchen with pumpkin orange counter-top that is way too outdated and my Son in law offer to redo my flooring and kitchen if I find something I liked so we began shopping around town but prices was very high here in Saint John so we hold off on this project. At work one day this subject came up and a co-worker recommend checking out Homestore Direct online. Their Daughter in Ottawa got a kitchen from them and been raving about them so what the heck I might as well see what its all about.

When I first called I got the pleasure of speaking to Tommy which was very nice as he was very helpful and friendly. I later send him the measurements of our kitchen and took some pictures so he can design us something nice and accurate. It wasn't long before I received some 3d images of our new kitchen and it's blows me away how realistic this CAD program he was using works. We had few different scenario to choose from so we had our Son in law over to discuss the best option and finally made up our mind on one. We wanted to modify few changes and it wasn't a problem at all. Tommy takes a lot of pride in his work and you can see it, very eager to make us happy and give us his professional input on what looks nice and function great as well.

We then choose the cabinets we liked which is the Cinnamon Maple and added all the items to cart and price was little over $7000 which was perfect as we did not want to spend $12,000-$15000 like all the other places we have gone to. At that time they had free shipping over $3000 so that was nice as I am sure its not cheap sending 2 skid full of cabinets down here.
Our cabinets came within 2 weeks as promised unfortunately we had to store them in the garage as the flooring wasn't quite done yet. Now everything is finished and I have attached before and after pictures for everyone to see.
Thank you Tommy and the Homestore Direct staff for making our experience a wonderful one.

I am a builder so I will just mention the pros and cons of my experiences as I do not have anything negative worth saying.

Pros :
* Great price for solid wood cabinets.
* Fairly easy to assemble and installed.
* Excellent customer services.
* Overall excellent company to deal with and would definitely buy again for next project.
* They offer free designs and 3d colour images and that really got my clients sold as they are not very visual clients and can't vision my blueprint too well.

Cons :

* Had a broken glide and was taken cared of fairly quickly.
* Shipping company suppose to call to arrange time for drop off but didn't and nobody was there, so they wasted a trip however they did call later that day and delivered the next day.

Very nice cabinets, exceptional services, two thumbs way up!!!
We have shopped online before and usually buy from the USA, but when we account for the duties, brokerage fee and shipping to our front door, we figure we might as well look for a Canadian company to deal with to minimizes any issues and stumble upon Homestore Direct. We already got a layout done before so we knew exactly what we wanted. The website was very easy to navigate and the online rep was very helpful as well.
We ordered our cabinets before New Year when Homestore Direct have the promo for 15% off as well as free shipping but we didn't need the cabinets until February as we were still in major home renovations and Jerrold was perfectly fine with that request. We called the first week of February and said we are ready for the cabinets and Jerrold shipped them out right away. We ordered the Mahogany Maple cabinet and are so blown away at the quality as well as looks.
This cabinet is a little tricky to assemble at first but once we watched the video and follow the instructions, it was very easy as we did have some extra help from the staff at Homestore Direct to guide us as well.

Homestore Direct/Rockwood kitchens were amazing from start to finish.

I first contacted Tommy when I purchased my new home and was in the middle of a major home renovation.

I was unable to find time to visit Tommy's showroom in Barrie during the reno, that proved not to be a issue the following day Tommy was at my house in Oakville driving from Barrie, with a full range of his cabinets and counter choices. I had no other contractor willing to do this.

Once we made our choices Tommy provided a 3D picture or our new kitchen for final approval within a few days.

When it was almost time for installation of our new kitchen my wife and I decided to add a few things days before our installation. This was not an issue for Tommy. The changes were ready to go for installation.

To top it all off our installer showed up on time and was extremely clean and tidy. He cleaned up both days at the end of night and put his tools neatly away so not to be in the way.

There was not a time during the whole process where I could say anything negative about Tommy or the Rockwood Kitchens Staff

Tommy was always fast to reply to my emails and phone calls within the same day.

I would absolutely recommended Homestore Direct/Rockwood kitchens to anyone who is looking to do a kitchen renovation, their customer service and price cannot be beat!

Title: LOVE OUR NEW KITCHEN!!!!!

My family of 5 recently bought a new home but the kitchen was very outdated. We got a great deal on the house so definitely not complaining. I first started my kitchen hunt with Home depot, Aya Kitchens, and Lowes and manage to get quotes from $26,000-$32,000. One night searching on kijiji I saw an ad on Kijiji for cabinets from Homestore Direct at amazing prices so I decided to give them a call. Jerrold picked up the phone and was very helpful and offered us to come into the showroom to take a look at the product and they will even help me with the granite at half the cost.

They are open to the public in Barrie under Rockwood Kitchens so we were very fortunate that they were close by. When we came into the showroom, Jerrold introduced us to Tommy who later design our kitchen. (If you want someone good, get Tommy to design your kitchen as he really cares and take alot of pride in his work and it shows).

My wife and I were blown away at the quality of the cabinets as its solid wood all around.We fell in love with the Espresso Maple right away and let me tell you, we get so many compliments on our new kitchen it feels great :)
Before we finalized the kitchen we wanted to make sure 100% so we did ask for few references to call and visit before we bought. Everyone we had spoke to only had good things to say so we know we are dealing with the right people.
